Position Summary
The Senior Vice President – Commercial sets and leads the global commercial agenda for Chedi Hospitality, with stewardship of Brand, Marketing, Communications, Distribution, Digital Marketing, and Revenue Optimization across the corporate office, the operating portfolio, and every property yet to open.
This is a role of considerable consequence: the custodian of The Chedi's positioning in a crowded luxury landscape, the architect of new revenue potential, and the guarantor of a single, coherent commercial philosophy across a growing portfolio. Working in close partnership with Operations, Development, Asset Management, and property leadership, the SVP – Commercial will be a principal driver of growth, owner value, and lasting brand equity — upholding, in every decision, the discretion and craftsmanship expected of a leading name in luxury hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
COMMERCIAL STRATEGY
—  Set and lead Chedi Hospitality's global commercial strategy in concert with the company's wider business objectives.
—  Accelerate revenue growth through integrated commercial initiatives across the existing portfolio and pipeline of new developments.
—  Identify emerging market opportunities and forge commercial partnerships that reinforce the brand's distinct position.
—  Set commercial performance benchmarks and oversee their delivery across the portfolio.
MARKETING
—  Direct the development and execution of global marketing strategy, ensuring every initiative reflects the brand's quiet, understated luxury sensibility.
—  Oversee digital and performance marketing, CRM, loyalty programmes, and content strategy portfolio-wide.
—  Ensure campaigns deliver measurable return on investment while reinforcing brand desirability.
—  Track market trends, guest sentiment, and competitor activity to preserve The Chedi's distinct position within the luxury segment.
BRAND MANAGEMENT
—  Serve as principal custodian of The Chedi brand, safeguarding its standards and identity across every property.
—  Oversee brand positioning, visual identity, and guest communications so that they consistently express the brand's design philosophy and sense of place.
—  Ensure brand messaging is rendered with consistency and integrity across every guest touchpoint.
—  Guide brand development for future openings and new market entries, ensuring each property is a genuine expression of The Chedi philosophy.
COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC RELATIONS
—  Direct corporate communications, public relations, and media strategy at a global level.
—  Cultivate relationships with leading international media, luxury travel press, and strategic partners.
—  Oversee crisis communications planning and response.
—  Steward corporate messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
DISTRIBUTION & COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS
—  Develop and refine global distribution strategy, extending reach without compromising brand exclusivity.
—  Manage relationships with OTAs, GDS providers, wholesalers, and distribution partners.
—  Maintain disciplined channel management and rate integrity across all markets.
—  Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize market share and profitability.
REVENUE & PERFORMANCE
—  Partner with Revenue Management to maximize performance across the portfolio.
—  Review commercial KPIs and direct corrective action where required.
—  Support properties in achieving revenue, ADR, RevPAR, and market share targets.
—  Present commercial performance to executive leadership and ownership.
LEADERSHIP
—  Lead, mentor, and develop the Corporate Commercial team.
—  Guide and develop senior commercial leaders across the portfolio.
—  Foster close collaboration across Marketing, Communications, Revenue Management, Distribution, and Operations.
—  Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous refinement.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
—  Partner closely with hotel General Managers and corporate executives.
—  Represent Chedi Hospitality at industry events, conferences, and commercial forums.
—  Build enduring relationships with owners, investors, and strategic partners.
—  Support the Development team during acquisitions and pre-opening phases from a commercial perspective.
Qualifications & Experience
—  Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
—  Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) highly preferred.
—  A minimum of 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience within luxury hospitality.
—  5–8 years in a senior corporate commercial leadership capacity.
—  Demonstrated experience overseeing a multi-property or international portfolio.
—  A deep understanding of luxury hospitality brand stewardship and commercial operations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
—  Minimum 5–8 years within recognized luxury hospitality brands.
—  Prior Middle East hospitality experience is required.
—  Experience within corporate or regional leadership structures.
—  Demonstrated success leading Marketing, Communications, Branding, and Distribution functions.
—  Experience supporting hotel openings and luxury brand expansion.
—  Substantial exposure to international markets and luxury travel distribution.
