A. Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cashier, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
- Ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
B. Key Areas of Responsibility
Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, and room-charge payments accurately.
- Operate the POS system and ensure guest checks are correctly closed.
- Verify discounts, voids, and complimentary bills according to hotel procedures.
- Reconcile daily collections against POS reports and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for.
- Prepare and submit daily cashier reports together with all required supporting documents.
- Maintain and safeguard the assigned cashier float at all times.
- Identify and immediately report any cash shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
- Ensure all transactions and supporting documents are complete and properly recorded.
- Follow the hotel’s cash-handling procedures and internal controls at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling guest and financial information.
- Cooperate with the relevant departments to resolve any payment or billing discrepancies.
- Perform any other cashier-related duties assigned by the management within the scope of the position.
